Nicky Mckerron
Nicky is the youngest of 7 siblings Elgin “born and bred”
At the end of September last year at the age of 51 Nicky received the devastating diagnoses of stomach cancer. The first prognosis wasn’t good news and she was told treatment would be with palliative intent. Then the fantastic team in Aberdeen decided that 4 surgeons would perform a life changing 8hr operation to remove Nickys stomach, spleen and 24 lymph nodes. The operation in November went so well the prognosis changed to treatment with intent to cure.
Nicky went through all this, including losing her dear dad at end of October, with a courage that leaves us all so proud to call her our “daughter, sister, Auntie and dear friend”
Nicky with her team “Nickys Crew” just raised over £10,500 for Race for Life in Inverness, and is now hosting this event to raise money for Friends of The Oaks and The Spey Unit at Dr Gray’s Elgin.
We hope you can join us in a night of fun to raise funds for these fantastic charities. Donations for the raffle would be greatly received.
